I have recently got new glasses from Huxter and Davy. I had researched opticians in Cornwall, as I wanted a personalised service, having been unhappy with my previous experience. I could not have been more happy with the service I’ve received from Sarah and Adam at Huxter and Davy. My eye examination was the most thorough I’ve ever had and Adam spent a long time explaining my options , then Sarah and Adam helped me choose new glasses. They were so friendly, professional and helpful. Sarah was also meticulous in ensuring the glasses were a perfect fit when I went to collect them. The nicest thing was not feeling rushed. The shop is beautiful too and situated in a lovely area of Padstow. I would highly recommend.

My father recently had an appointment at this optician, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, they made him feel truly welcome and valued. The staff were attentive to all his needs, continuously checking in to ensure he was comfortable and doing well throughout the visit. Having visited other opticians in the past, my father often felt like just another number in a chain, with poor customer service that made him feel incompetent when asked questions. They never took the time to make sure he was positioned correctly or could see the screen properly, and if anything went wrong, it was made to feel like his fault. To make matters worse, one clinic even canceled his appointment at the last minute with no consideration for the transport arrangements he had made. Finding this place has been an absolute blessing. It’s truly mind-blowing to see my nearly 80-year-old father leave with a smile on his face, feeling genuinely cared for and respected. I cannot praise this optician enough for their exceptional service and kindness. This will be the place I bring all my family and recommend to friends
